nope,,, lets just say,,

Found
On
Road
Dead

lets just say that was me today, had to take the truck out of storage due to my beater being dead, only to have the cold take the heart out of my beutiful silver girl. Today has not been a good day, happened on my way to the lions game as well. I've had oil showing on the bell housing of my tranny since about a month after I bought the truck, had the truck taken in twice for those symptoms and both times the ford mechanic found nothing, now that the truck is in the cold, she has totally broken down. I'll have you all know as well, the truck was completely back to stock when she broke today, after the fuel filter went I pulled all mods off as I was concerned driving the truck in the cold could hurt her. Gotta say it bugs me, checking all options right now,, built block, whatever I can do. Sorta good news is that there was not so much oil at all on the ground when she blew. well,,, chears, ,, happy thanksgiving, and ho ho ho.

So you blew the motor while totally stock? Man that sucks stock or not.. Some people here actually have never heard of a stock engine blowing. They do happen.. Good luck on the repair...

yup,,, thats my deal,,, totally stock when she blew. I dont think it shot through the engine, possibly its just a broken rod,,, there just didn't seem to be enough oil laying around for it to be a ventilated block. But definately some clunking and white smoke. Its terrible, I had the truck all put away for the winter when my beat up jeep broke down and had to pull my truck back out. Life sucks today, time to check around though and decide the whoe what when where and how about building it up, or possibly replacing it with a stocker and going from there. If anyone has any info that could help me in any way,, please email me at whitetoast11@comcast.net . Thanks for the offer with the help soap, I'll call you and we'll get right to cleaning those plugs big time.

thanks rob, just a note for any L owner driving their truck through the winter, be easy on her, and drive in the right lane, cold cold air is not good for her at all, wether you have a modded truck, you've taken off all your mods, or even if she's never been modded, please drive safe guys, i've been crying all day, plus i'm very mad at my jeep for being busted and making me drive her today.

Good luck dealing with Ford.

I will guys, you put so much heart into the truck and so much work that it really hits hard when she dies when you felt everything was safe. Things always look up and down at the same time, plus a ton of wondering and worrying about this engine, and the jeep at the same time.

Josh, i'll talk to you today, it appears I'll be out of work by 2 today so I'll call you then.
