Just got email on my 03 production date

My dealer just emailed me and informed me that my 03 l was scheduled for the week of December 9. He said that Ford could not give an exact day yet.
He believes it will arrive the week of christmas if Ford keeps the normal shipping schedule for this dealer.

That would make for one heck of a Christmas present.

Sweet stuff man. Im glad I didn't have an L on order. It was kinda cool cause I got an x-plan pin, and since I got about 3500$ off, I went down that day and picked the truck up! I didn't have to wait and be all anxious! Good luck...

What dealership did you order it from? I live in Allen.

This may sound strange, but he asked me not to post it on the message boards. I think he is afraid of getting blasted in what if questions...LOL.

The real deal is this. The dealership only gets allocated 12 L's. Right now, with sales being slow, he can get away with maybe 2 more at X plan.
He asked me to forward any request I received from fellow forum members and he would see what he could do. I have forwarded about 5 so far and I don't know if any of them have bought.

Email me and I'll send you his email if your looking. You live not far from them...LOL. I know he would rather sell to locals simply because it is easier to have a firm sale.

I may have to file a lawsuit against my dealer. He sends me the email just before I am about to hit the sack and now I can't sleep. All i can think about is my darned Lightning and what i want to do to it first.

That would cause me to loose sleep for about four weeks.
The real disapointment will be if my dealer calls me up the week it's suppose to be here and tells me there is a delay.....

Heck of it is...I have never even had a ride in one, much less driven one.

I think I'm going banana's with this

October 16th.............

Menace is right...LOL. I thought about the same thing......I am not holding my breath. Realisticly, I was going to be happy if I saw it by the end of January. Lets hope the dealer is not being a bit optimistic on how quick he gets the truck to me.

I have my fingers crossed,

Rocks, I just got back form your dealership and left a deposit on a dark shadow gray 03 at x plan. I was given a VIN# and build date of 12/14/02. Thanks for the info.

That is very cool . David is a pretty good guy. Did he mention if any of the others who inquired bought? He had told me he would try to do as many as the GM would let him. He thought 2 more last week. This means 1 left.

Congrats, I'm glad he was able to fix you up.

David was busy but a guy named Robert got everything set up. Took all the usual information and pulled a "New Vheicle Inquiry" and got all the information on the truck. Made a copy of the inquiry, gave it to me and I was on my way.

I had visited with another local dealership in Frisco a few months back but they didn't then and still don't seem interested in my business. It seems that some dealerships just dont want to sell their trucks.

Again, thaks for the information.
