I drive mine every day, and I have a few tranny mods besides the valve body. (GRIN)

But I would advise against any rapid acceleration testing with any more than 2 inches on the ground.

Anykind of snow and I am sol with the F-1s.

Regarding valve body, if that stiffens the shifting similar to a chip (I dont have a VB, yet), then I would expect the tires to break lose in the snow during a shift.

And see...that is what I am asking....and maybe Greg can tell me (or anyone else who knows, hehe.......

Under normal part throttle driving...in the snow (assuming winter tires on)....are the shifts so crisp that the tires will spin a bit and potentially cause a dangerous condition? Please help me make a decision on the purchase, hehe

stock 02...NO mods yet by the way.

Yes at part throttle when your trans shifts with the accumulator valvebody you could spin the tries just abit when you go from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I have lived in this area for a long time and know what kind of weather we see. With that in mind if your L is on a sloped street when changing gears in the snow the rear end will kick out some..With any performance vehicle I would be very very careful in slippery conditions.. At least you have better winter tires that the F1's..They totally suck in the snow.. Good luck and be careful..... Jeff

Jeff thanks for the info......Guess I will get it. I am thinking with the taller tires it should be ok until spring, hehe.

Are you the guy from Crete that I met at the dyno day in naperville a while ago? If so, how is your truck doing?

In all seriousness, if you keep your foot light on the go pedal, it should be okay, it's throttle responsive.
