That Focus was on Autoweek..........looked pretty cool. It was funny when they drove by and it sounded like a fox body.

Pretty cool. I think. Around 7K for the kit not including engine, trans, driveshaft, engine wiring, computer, harness, etc, etc, etc. Lotta money!

I saw that clip on Autoweek as well, and I thought it was highly original. The sound from a 302 is infamous, so it would surprise the heck out of a number of people hearing it out of a little Focus hatchback.

It looks like alot of work, but it would be a fun cheap project car. The kit itself is over $4000 without the motor. I might consider it if I had a spare Focus sitting around, but I wouldn't go out and buy one specifically to rip it up.

$7020 to be exact is what I came up with. True, lotta money but damn that would be a fun car not to mention these cars handle like slot cars, imagine what they would handle like w/ a few aftermarket suspension mods. American V-8 w/ RWD all for probally 3500 lbs (at most!) or less. Maybe I will do this conversion to my wifes focus wagon, talk about a sleeper! Then I'll have to smoke you L guys in a Focus wagon

Can you say "Understeer"? With all of that weight on the nose I would think it would handle like a Fox body with a 460 in it. (Handles like a school bus) Maybe if the engine is set back a little (cut the fire wall), and some suspension mods like you had said, it may help. It would be a cool project for somebody with the means to get the big work done. Too much for my garage

True...True...and that's all that counts for me. I like that 10 second Aries K car video that somebody posted here a few weeks ago. Besides the hearing the turbo, that was a sleeper.

The motor is worth more than the car. I never understood that, if you are going to sink, and I mean SINK, a ton of money in a motor put it in a nice car that will appreciate, not depreciate. But never the less I still kinda like the SVT focus', but that is the only one I would be caught dead in. The regular ones look like a box on 13" wheels.
