Thumbs down Ran a 15.227 at the track

Went to the track Friday night...good weather for where I live (around 60-65). Well I let my cousin drive w/me in the passenger side....well we get off the line and we're doing good until after the 1/8 (hit about 80) then my truck shuts off before we hit the 1/4 ended up at 68 mph.....so we roll pass the end and hit the brakes .....turn the key to off then turn it back on again ...engine starts up w/no problems...so we park and after a while decide not to run again for fear of messing something up (worse if there is something wrong)..so I drive to my house and the truck feels fine....everything feels the same ...I thought to myself I never would have known that my truck shut off because it was running normal....so what do you guys think it could be? Loose chip? I don't know about that because the truck started right back up w/no problems but I don't know I won't rule anything out.....well anyway thanks in advance to all your suggestions.....oh ya I have a 90mm Maf filter , 4lb pulley and a flip chip...was running on street program

Boost Dump

Do you have a boost bypass kit or have your boost dump solenoid unplugged. My first guess would be that you lost boost, especially with those mods.

I had this very same problem, this was with a tightly secured chip and the boost dump disconnected. I ran a 17.00, then a 16.00, so you got me beat. Did you fill up with race gas at the track? Be careful you didn't fill up with leaded race gas, that will cause it. I still havent found my problem, but I can tell you that 2 days later I shot the sparkplug out of the head and the truck has been in the shop since.

i agree with everyone else, on the Boost dump, when running high RPM's the boost will dump out, and the engine will shut down (safty percautions) so either unplug it when your at the track, or but a boost bypass kit anywhere from $5-$25 depending on where you get it from, i got mine for $12 off Ebay.
