rear end problem? (one wheel burnouts suck)

i'm starting to get some one wheel burnouts at the track..
it doesn't do it when i let the truck cool completely off though.. do you guys think that a fluid change will fix this?

We have seen that a couple times as well and cant seem to consistently reproduce it ... I wonder if it is related to the rear brakes ? One that isnt letting up as much as the other ?

Marc Carpenter had this problem a while back... it's really no big deal. when you notice only one wheel spinning, just tap the brakes gently, and it should start to turn.

Mine started doing this too. Since I wanted to take out the 4.10's and try some 3.73's I bought the new Eaton posi unit to go with it. I hope that cures it once and for all.

Sal also runs the Eaton in his go fast truck.

These diffs do not last (read "lock") forever, especially if a lot is demanded from them. Sounds like to me the clutches in the chunk are worn out. A friend of mine has a Gen1 that is doing the same thing.

Yep, The clutches are worn... We put the line-loc on our L, and last weekend we were getting peg legged burn outs... But after 3 years, and 48 thousand miles, and ungodly amounts of abuse; it's due anyway...

ask HDMILNIUM

i think this happened to his truck a year ago. From what Don told me, i guess he didn't even know it, but Jim from JDM spotted it at the track. Turned out to be the carrier i think in the diff.

So how many miles are you burn-out freaks at?
Hope I don't reach the mileage before the 05's come out.
Then it will be party time
