All that extra boost will/may wear them out quicker than if your L was stock. I pulled my OEM plugs at 18,000 miles and they were a little worn(the platinum 'pad' was worn thin). I changed mine because of the 5 lb pulley I installed and needed a colder plug(see sig).

Is the eng. spinning at the same speed? If not, then it's the battery but if it's spinning freely, then I would suspect worn plugs for "hard starting".

you can't always clean an IAC, it is an electrical part (solenoid) sometimes they just fail and need replacement, sometimes they get crudded up (technical term ) with deposits and you can clean them and get them unstuck. Seems lately we are seeing TONS of IAC problems at the dealership. Can cause any number of problems from "no start" to "starts and immediately cuts off" to "rough idle or missfires at idle" and many more.

later,
chris
