Im picking up my 22x10 wheels tomorrow. I am also picking up my 305/40/22 also. My concern is will the tires rub on anything? I hope some of you guys with 22" wheels will reply.

eh...30's my ***...i dont think anyone makes a 30" tire, i asked my manager the other day about the bazo 28" and he said its not even a true 28" no one makes a 28, he just said the rim has an out lip that makes it appear to be a 28 or 30

Smknjoe,

I had 305.45.22 and they did rub the skirt molding in the front (barely)… If you run 305.40.22 it will clear but (this was my bad) your truck will loose torque and lift the truck 1.5 inches… Your speed will also be off by 11.1% and the only way to correct it will be to chip the truck (according to the dealer they cant correct to PCM that much). If you want to go to the expense of 410 gearing to regain your torque then go for it, but I didn’t…

I switched to 295.30.22 Pirelli Zero’s. I’ve now got my torque back and with a Western Chassis drop, she looks great and sits low…

Good luck…

I love the names they gave them. Good choice. Anxious to see them on your ride.

It looks as if it is photoshopped like crazy since there appears to be no bead to the tire, and the rim goes nearly to the edge of the tire tread. However, now that you point it out, it may very well be a large lip that hangs out over a normal 20" or 22" rim.

Notice that the center of the rim where the fake 3-piece nuts are, it is only about 18" in diameter. If it were truly a 30" rim, then the middle would have to be at least 26" across.

So I wonder, "A" how the heck do you mount the tire on a rim like that, and "B" if you went around a turn at anything over 5mph the tire would fold under and you would be riding on rim.

I think you are going to be in trouble with the 305/40/22 combination. My 305/40/20s rub on the front fenders when the front takes a big dip. Not sure about clearance on turns.

Trashguy – Kinda liked the way you shorted that up…

Sixpipes – Does Go_rila still have the Roush drop? Big dips, good point! The 45’s weren’t on there long enough to find out…

Smknjoe – Good luck bud, give us those pic’s when you’re finished…
