Why it's best to have a track car or a trailer...

I was unable to attend an event last week at Laguna Seca that I was hoping to go to since last April. The trunk isn't track ready so I had to pass. Oh well. Photos and videos are starting to be posted.

Here's one that shows why it's sometimes best to show up with either a track car or a trailer.

Turn 9 can be brutal

Now why did you do that!!You are going to scare everyone!LOL
For what I am going to say I KNOW I am going to get a beating but here goes anyway. This was told to me by some fellow driversand I quote{Road racing is like chess and drag racing is like checkers}by that they mean that you have to think all the time on what you are doing your vehicle is doing and the course is doing, and what is around you, where as drag racing is more of a mind game at the start and finish everything else inbetween is just to get there.Stan sorry I still do respect drag racers I know that I can not do it have tried. How about a 1.2 reaction time that will give you an idea.

For a moment, I thought it was going to be a video of you hitting the wall!

I didn't intend to scare anyone, knucklehead, but I understand your point. Hopefully, we all know that there is a risk doing any kind of high speed event, even events WITH instruction, such as the one that the video was from. IMO, the outcome of the risk comes down to two things:
1. Luck (or lack of it),
2. Willingness to push the envelope, whether it's your skills or the limits of the vehicle.

The driver is in control of item 2.

Chess vs Checkers? Interesting analogy. I've never played checkers and I've never driven on a drag strip. Hmmm...
