Does exhaust really work? Which one?

Ok, last weekend I went to the track. Pulled off a 13.16 @ 103.8 mph with 26" slicks. The little slicks really hurt my mph. But, I want a 12.XX. I have a 6# pulley, JMS flip chip(autologic), and a MAC cold air, all with stock exhaust. Will an aftermarket exhaust bring me in the 12's? I'm seriously thinking about the MAC exhaust, how does this soud, power? I'd really appreciate your help, need the 12's. By the way, beat a new Z06 by .5!!!

Exhaust will not help you. Sock exhaust is good for deep into the 12's and high 11's. Who is JMS? Not familiar with that Autologic tuner. Spend your next mod dollars on a trip to a dyno. Make a few dyno pulls and have youe air/fuel monitored. The 26" are not hurting your mph. What was your 60ft time? Might consider having PSP re-burn your chip after you dyno.

Yeah, what was your 60ft time???

And only due exhaust if you want a better sound and to replace the stock tips that never stay clean.

Yep, my OEM exhaust was still on when I got into the high 12s. I put JDM's single Magnaflow c/b on mainly for the sound and the 4.5" stainless tips.

I ran at 110.48 mph with 26" M/Ts on yesterday. If your L has the HP, it will run the higher mph too.
