Talking About to put the 4# pulley on..........

For a moderate street program, what should the degree of timing be on my chip? Also, what should the A/F ratio be? My truck is my everyday vehicle and I will put about 15k miles on it a year. My only mods will be chip, 4# pulley, tr6's, fast air kit, and traction bars. Should I need anything else? Thanks for the help.

You're probably experiencing added timing from the ECU as it senses cooler outside air. If your fuel is questionable(MTBE added?), this would just add to the problem.

Can't help on the "programs, etc."

Yeah, i am in Illinois and i think I know what your saying about cooler weather. Is it throughing off the computer are you saying? I always thought during cooler weather my truck would run better. But in my case i have to much timing does that sound right? my question is if i reduce the timing now for the cooler weather... will i be able or need to up it in the spring? i dont wanna keep doing that. all im looking for is a safe program for me to run year round with the 4# pulley...

Well for a "mild-street-daily-driver-tune" I would say you should not be over 16* advance and an A/F over 11.

My street side is 16* and A/F is 10.0 (read>>rich as Bill Gates). I have never had detonation even in 20* air.

That is 30* total timing not 30* advance.
