Sorry Bill I dont get it. I paid for whatever I got with money I earned. No one gave me anything. Maybe some of these "Team" guys are sponsored. Otherwise why don't they go team up with the Boys and Girls Club or belong to something more productive.

Team Sony, Team Dell, Team Alpo, Team Rubbermaid, Team USPS and on and on. Team Me

Calightnin,
If you don't get it that is ok. I will not say that some of the (Team guys) don't get better deals, because sometimes they do.
I put the JDM banner on my windshield before I ever got any deals. Why? You ask, because I was happy with the performance gains that Jim and the rest of the JDM guys were getting me. Another reason is because they became good friends and it was a chance to give a little bit back. By having their name on my windshield and running decent times, it could bring them more business and I was happy to do that. Plus I am proud to tell people how my truck keeps on getting faster.
Thanks again JDM.....
Bill

that is one thing i hope people respect hd. more people need to realize that because you wear the colors of a certain tuner/vendor, it does not make you myopic in the sense that you have become their "lackey." it simply represents the relationship of trust that has been established between the tuner and you, and that in itself is something to be proud of.

however, since i have not had any quips with any of the tuners, i will refrain from flying the banners of all the tuners i have dealt with in the past months to avoid being seen as a "ricer."

sorry if i'm trying to sound smart...just finished a draft of my term paper so i'm still in "charles academia mode" :P

Doug,

I prefer "evolved" to developed. And it certainly is
possible to be credible even if your biased. It was
primarily because of the "boot-licking" type of posts
that appear here and other places, that I felt that
there should be a truly open place to post. If you
haven't ever experienced the type of problems some
people have had with a particular tuner, it is hard to
imagine, but it does happen. Even from the posts
here, there is no shortage of people that have had
problems with tuners.

I wish I would have had all the information available
before I made that decision on a tuner, but alas, the
pulley nightmare and the pics from removing weren't
around, or I didn't know enough back then. I basically
lurked here, read a lot, and picked the tuner that
seemed to have the biggest staff, biggest operation, etc.

Funny thing is that several people told me NOT to go to
JDM, because of their experiences. But I thought that
they were exagerating.

I have no axe to grind, BTW, I don't even have a
freaking truck!

Think about this ... You and all the other people that
seem to have "issues" with my problems with JDM have
a huge problem ... You don't know me, and therefore
can only base your opinions on what these dots on a
screen say. I have not gone into the arguements of
"he said" because there is no solution between the
differing opinions. But the people involved KNOW
what was said on the phone, and KNOW what the
RIGHT and HONEST thing to do is. We shall see, won't we?

Very Best Regards,

Cliff

Cool

It seems like if he has an axe to grind against JDM that it sort of backfired from the looks of the Praise section.

Actually, since what you see is an outpouring of
positive stories, maybe the site is doing exactly
what we wanted it to do. Nobody is getting on
there and flaming or contradicting the posts, are
they? Quite nice, isn't it?

Oh, and if you wonder why there are so many JDM
tuner ROCKS posts, just remember what Macbeth
said ... "Methinks the lady doth protest too much!"

one of the reasons i chose JL is because it seems like everyone on here is always kissing JDMs a$$ and you have to go to JDM cause they are the biggest. I say that's BS and I decided to support a less popular tuner. this is not to say that JDM is bad or that i had a bad experience with them, in fact i still have JDM parts on my truck. It's just that all the fluff and politics surrounding "Team JDM" is unnecessary IMHO.

What happened to the site? I can't get in. Maybe it is because I was one of the first to post a truly negative comment with proof to back it up.

The site doesn't work for me either.

Maybe tunerwars site needs a tune.
They should try JDM Engineering 1-732-780-0770.

Personally I think it's a good idea to have site where people can share any type of experiences about tuners.

With that said, I have doubts that will it work out that way. It's to easy to lie, expand the truth, make flame jobs, have no proof, have wild claims, be biased, etc. for people to do on the net.
