Beefcake
Ya Joe is right 2.5 inches
Make sure you really tightnen the bolts for the collector real tight, if you get any leak it will eat up the gasket.
This is what happened when I brought my truck to Level10 to get my trans worked on. They didn't tighten the bolts good.

I'm planning on getting copper ones over this winter. I hated those paper gaskets that came with it.
RT - how have the LT's been going back to the stock gaskets on the head? I'm thinking about doing that also.

I did not get gaskets with my LT.But then again I can't leave anything alone.Had new collector flanges made to fit 3 inch pipe. The collector is 2.75 then neckes down to 2.5 [for torque and scavenging at mid range]But since my stuff is top end I had them made for the 2.75 and uses a 3 inch collector flange to 3 inch cates and a Dr.Gas Xpipe, now it sounds like a rice rocket at RPM.MUSIC to MY ears.Stan

The stock gaskets on the heads are the ONLY way to go. I blew out many of the paper ones on the heads!!
yeah the stock ones where a snap to put back on the exhaust.
The biggest pain is that number 2 cylinder bottom bolt, HAHAHAHAHA. I hate getting that thing tight, extensions and rachets just don't work. Its all 10 milimeter 1/4 of an inch movement wrenching!

HI!... When I installed my JDM/KOOKS long tube headers and complete MAGNAFLOW S/S exhaust system, I used "PERCY's" DEAD SOFT aluminum collector gaskets. They are about a 1/8" thick and re-useable. No leaks here.
