I know that you replaced your carpet with black carpet from ACC, but I was wondering what type of carpet it is that you would recommend? Did you like the choice you made or would you change the type if you do the mod on your new truck. I also do not know which part number it is for the kit, a lot of the descriptions seem the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I can't seem to find any prices on their site. Could you give me a ballpark on what it costs? Thanks.

It was a black fuzzy carpet. Nicely trimmed

But seriously folks...
I called up ACC and asked for a black carpet to fit a '00 F-150. They sent Item # 10708-00. Cutpile 801 Black. Cost $ 140.00
The carpet needed a lot of work to make look right so if you buy it take it out of the box and let it relax for a few days.

Long story short...I won't be swapping carpets in the new truck.
If anything I'll take out the factory rug and just dye it black.

You can say that again, real pain in the A$$!!! Besides I hated triming all that crap up and making holes for the seat mounts.

the new 2003 carpet is supposed to be nicer so you won't have to worry about that one.

The kick in the a$$ is that when I ordered a black carpet from ACC for my '93 Mustang GT oh so many years ago the thing fit like a glove. That's why I went back to them for the Lightning rug.

Another option I forgot about was the Harley truck carpeting. It's black and it's factory However, I doubt Ford will be merciful with the price

i could see how much the carpet would be for the 00 extended cab HD if anybody was interested. I have a friend that can get me good deals on ford stuff, alot cheaper than the ford dealer can.

o yeah, rob, i forgot to ask the guy about those chrome handles yesterday when he called me cuz i was in a hurry, i'll call him tomorrow

Hehe, think Ford would be interested in a group buy on black Harley carpets?

I was perfectly happy. Until someone mentioned it. Thanks again, guys!
