Angry Chances of Import??

Hi, just joined the forum, nice to be here!

I absolutley adore the F150 Lightning and would do anything for one...trouble is I'm from the UK, so does anyone know what the chances are of either buying one over here, or having one imported from the USA??

Help would be apprieciated!

Ta!

I'm in the Military, and I know of at least 3 people that have taken a L to the UK and or Germany. Of coarse we don't have to pay for one vehicle, but any extra would cost more. Cost my buddy about 2k to take a extra vehicle over there.

So I'm sure it can be done

BTW welcome aboard!

Jack

It can and has been done. Ford even has a euro package that includes the required side marker lights, etc.

There is a guy in Germany named Holger, he flies into houston alot to attend the monthly halo (Houston area lightning owner's) meets.. It helps thathe is a commercial pilot for lufthansa I think. Anyway you might post at http://www.haloclub.com and see if you can get a hold of him there.. If I remember correctly he said it cost around 45 thousand US dollars to buy the truck and have it sent there.... He also added he kicks *** on the autobahn

Hi 4motion. from just over the border in Northumberland no problem to get an L over here a new one will cost about £31,500 plus Taxes, if you check out Top Marques (national car sales magazine) their are several used ones for sale from around £20,000 along side dealers selling new ones. Go for it, I love mine but check out this site and the other L sites for advice and tips on running one of these trucks. If I can be of any help get in touch

I remember seeing a post on here about a year ago about a company in London that imports Lightnings into the United Kingdom. They have a website...Just can't remember any of the details. There are some "L" owners that live in the UK that belong to this board... I think one of them purchased his "L" from the company I'm thinking of. Maybe they will see this post and chime in. Good-Luck.....Bill
