Looking for the full mischief3000 video.
I've got it. He means 'Mischief', by Techademics, which included some footage FROM the Gumball 3000, but not the full highlight clip.
Personally, I thought it was SPECTACULAR at first - then it started to tick me off. The movie is awesome the first run through. Problem is, after that, you start to pick up on the fact that it's 99% rich-bi-ch kids, who don't care about money or consequences, beating the crap out of brand new cars.
There are some REALLY nice chest shots in there, though!

Also, the enntry said you must be approved...do they accept anyone with the monet for entry or do you have to be a celebrity or what. I mean if I fork over the moolah, am I in? I dont really want to race from cali to miami, rather go from NY to LA but, whatever. Thanx for any info

Hell - $12,000 for the trip - PLUS gas!
SO, with the speeds on a cannonball run you're talking what, about $24,000?
Seriously, though - the people who participate are almost ALWAYS sickeningly rich. The kinds of people who will purposely wreck a BMW 7-series, because they can just buy another one anyway.
Not sure if anyone noticed - but, in that Gumball 3000 clip, look at the Ferrari F50 at the end - the paint has been sandblasted off of the front-end!

Well, I figured 10,000 at least. So I guess 13+ isn't a huge hike. I really would rather wait until its another NY to LA though.

Soap...shotguns got your name on it brotha! From what I hear about the girl situation though, we may not have to bring any...they seem to be there waiting already
I have been gearing up for this ever since I saw "speed zone" when I was a kid. If you haven't seen this movie check it out...very funny..John Candy is hilarious and Alyssa Milano is wicked hot! Anyway...I heard about the gumball a few years ago when I had my Cobra(see gallery) and wanted in, but I wasn't sure that 99 would make the whole 3000 miles, since it was in the dealer for warranty service every 2 months for something or other. What is this about cars looking sandblasted after the race...if I will need a new paint job, thats another 2grand I need to factor in. It doesn't really look like you need to beat your car to death if you don't want to. I would hate to put the Lightning to it's permanent rest just for a coast to coast race. Anyway, thanx again for any info. Also, does anyone know if they accept anyone with the cheddar to get in, or do I have to be a celebrity or have proof of being a millionaire or something? Thanx
