got mine from JDM.. Its a pro Glass shaker hood. only installed yesterday .. Love it , and so will you...

How does the shaker part of the hood attach to the engine?, I like these hoods, maybe some day I will be able to afford one.

There is 2 long brackets in the front that attach to the motor and one bracket in the back.Basically you just take a nut off an existing piece ,put the bracket on and put the nut over.No drilling or tapping or anything like that.Very easy.

Is the air scoop functional? I thought they were but I've been told otherwise. You guys who actually have them should know.

 

It does bring cold air into the engine compartment and dumps it right on top of a conical filter.
The scoop works with the hood when the hood is closed.
It does shake on start-up and moves when you hit the gas.
