Did mine a little different. Made my own hubs, picked up bits and pieces when I could find them. I am in them a whole lot less than that. Lots of my time and effort but I don't charge myself much.

Well after bedding the new rotors and pads these things are awesome. As soon as we get some dry weather I plan to disable the ABS and really see what they can do.

You should post the results of stopping distances from 90mph - 0 with:
ABS On
ABS Off

Spike,
Great idea. Just need dry weather, which doesn't look good for the nxt two weeks.

I have done that exact test in a car (Toyota MR2). 5 out of 5 times the non-ABS stop was shorter.

I am not a big fan of ABS. I think it has it's place but on a performance car it should have a switch to turn it off.

How'd you get the dustshield to fit? Looks like you bent it? Dosn't tap on a turn in?

You should test it in the rain too, but maybe only 55 - 0 in a wide parking lot. In that test, I would expect ABS to outperform your touch.

Also, in dry weather, test high speed stops back to back and count how many times before you start to feel a soft pedal.

Unhappy

All I can say is, NICE, VERY NICE. Can I drive down from Puyallup to see if they will fit on my truck with the 22's that I have???? (Foose Sprank) Please, Please. I have been on the phone with Stop Tech, and everybody else with big brake kits. No one knows if my wheel combo will work.

Make a template from the inside of the wheel to the stock rotor surface with construction paper and mail it to them.

Pawn, the rotors are close to the sheilds but no contact at all. I had to tweak the lower leading edge by about a 1/4" was the only bend made. Everything else is factory.

Action, you are more than welcome to come down and try a wheel. See if we can cordinate a time that works.

ABS system will stop longer than non abs because for the operation of abs the wheel and tire HAVE to stop for and instantthus slidding you want to be rite at the point of lock up but not locking or using the abs.Stan
