Who would win L or Dakota R/T

L mods,
Cold Air Intake, chip, 4 Lb pulley, traction bars, 160 deg
thermostat, Factory Tech Valve body, oil breather cap. It
runs 14 lb's boost, and just roasts the F1's that are on it. Can't get the F1's to hook.

R/T Mods,
52mm Throttle body, cold air intake, Mopar performance PCM (computer) Full open Cat back system, 150 shot of NOS, trans-go shift kit, Nitto 555 275x45x17, and traction bars. Claimed 387RWHP without the NOS. Inexperienced with NOS.

So what do you guys think in the 1/8th and in the 1/4?

It would be close.
If you have no traction and he does you can lose to anybody.

L...for sure.

No second thought... Saw some R/T's running superchargers at Gateway here in St. Louis - they don't even break well into the low 13's. No problem even with a 150 shot that he's got.

Hooking up - just clean the tires off a bit (dont go through the water box) and hit it pretty good off the line. I've run 1.8 60ft's doing that technique.

Good luck... Have fun

he can floor it off the line, with those nittos, then hit the nitrous. you have to be very careful with your launch with the rwhp you have. don't bet your pink slip on it, anything can happen

i would say the L for sure

my friend has an r/t with traction bars and brand new tires (its stock to just to let u know) when he let me drive and u just floor it u cant keep them tires from spinning

that motor just puts out too much torque to do anything
so i say the L would diffently win

The Dakota guy is BS'ng...I didn't see a n/a tbi 360 making 387rwhp without nitrous. Lightning wins, hands down.

The R/T is old news. At the Detroit auto show in January, Dodge will unveil the Dakota SRT. P/ups are becoming very interesting...

Yea...the Dakota would have a good chance if it was being towed by a F-16 maybe.
I have seen alot of them at the track and most Dakota's were in the 13.9 to 14.5 Range...while most of the Lightnings were all in the 13.5 range.

I have to agree with you guys. I think that the R/T guy needs a little L reality check. Hopefully I can get a clip of this run.

For those of you running the F1's, do you have it to the floor prior to the 2nd gear shift? Any idea what the ease in on the throttle time is? Example 2 seconds from light change to full throttle. Or is it 1/2 throttle immediately, then ease into full?

Any help will make a better kill!

My experience with F1's is any time you drop your foot, you loose traction.
