Shackle - ride quality question

I had a pair of 2" shackles installed the other day. It leveled the truck out and looks really great. Does this make the truck ride more rigid in the back because it seems more firm. I know only the location of the spring was changed but is the shock being more compressed doing this? Who all have noticed this or is it just in my head?

Otherwise I'm really pleased with them an the Magnaflow I had put on as the first mods to my truck.

I didn't really notice any change in ride quality after changing shackles. It just looks a ton better.

i didnt feel any difference either. i think the only only difference will be when you change the front springs out or if you lower the rear so much that you change the pinion angle dramatically, which can be fixed, then you may lose traction

Thumbs up

No change noted even with the shackles and Truck Traks installed.

Cool

Yes the rear shocks will be compressed a little...very little. Probably not enough to notice in the ride.

Guess it was just imagination then, I drove it again today and it seemed fine. what is the proper definition of pinon angle and how does it affect traction?

Also, is there a chain of progression with the mods like with the old 5.0's? What's a good 1st mod? (second if you count the Magnaflow?)

If you plan to race and get into the 12s, get a driveshaft loop and Truck Traks--before you get slicks.

Then get a chip, pulley(3, 4, or 5 lb), and an intake filter system.
