Well this winter it's probably time to freshen up the limited slip. What is everyone doing? Auburn? Is the a performance rebuild kit for the stocker? Looking for strength and streetable.

Cool

HI!... I have a 9.75 rearend in my truck also. I just recently found out that I tore all the tabs off the clutch packs. Also the carrier pin wobbles a bit. I called around and was told by many manufacturers that the new EATON posi unit for the 9.75 is the best. REIDER RACING sells them for $398.00(U.S) which is a great deal since here in CANADA they go for almost $980.00(CAN).

Haven't done the L yet, but I can say that the Eaton posi is an excellent part. I had one with 31 spline axles on my Procharged '94 GT, and it held up fine to power that broke my 800hp rated Lentech AOD tranny (408cid windsor dyno'd at 740 rwhp)

REIDER RACING here in Detroit gave me an excellent price when I ordered a detroit true trac for my Crown Vic.

If you need parts? Might want to check them out.

The eaton neil was speaking about is /was not available for the 10.25 rear, which is what my screw and i think the lightnings have.
I'm looking into the auborn, which is the only available locker for 10.25 that i like, also it isnt rebuildable, but they have a program that you send in the old locker, and auborn will send a new/or refurbished one for the price of a comparable rebuild....The eaton is definitley more attractive imo.

I knew I couldn't be the only one.

Stan did you use a factory kit or after market? Are the frictions paper or semi-metalic?

Lightning rear-end is a 9.75" (9-3/4")

I used the stock ones from Ford you can order them by themselves. They are not paper. You might want to try Randy's ring and pinion I know they offer kevlar discs for trac-locs.Stan
