resonable price for 01 Lightning?

my local dealership has a black 2001 Lightning priced at $27,000 with 23,000 miles on it. this seems a bit high to me. or is this a normal price for an 01 Lightning? should i try to deal and get the price lowered to $25k or 24k? its completely stock with no mods. looks like its in excellent condition. i'd rather get an 03. but i dont want the higher payments. so alas, its better to have a lightning. than no lightning at all

I sold my red '01 last march for 26,500 with a supercooler, 7 1/2 extra boost (both pullies), factory tech valve body, bassani exhaust, bedrug, hotchkis lowering springs, you name it...

I'm starting to think I must have given it away. it was only 8 months old with 9000 miles

anyway, check here for used L's. www.performanceautosport.com

guy here in town ships them all over the country.

later,
chris

If you want a modified truck you should check out my classified. I might be willing to deal a little so I don't have to demod the truck. I don't want to have to drive it stock for any length of time They are way too much fun with mods.

Reed,
Where abouts are you anyway? When I was looking for one I emailed the dealerships and told them to email me when they got one or found one. That might be worth a try, but I would check on the classifieds from some of these boards, theres usually some pretty nice finds on there. Just be patient, I looked for months before I got mine. And if your in a region where you can't drive it in the winter anyway, then it might be smart to wait until spring to get one. Just my .02
