Just buy it........If you later find any minor defects or fit/trim issues, make a list and take it back for them to fix.

 

Don't be surpised to find a lot of rubber bands all over the place.......

why is the world against me?!?!?! I go to ford and they sold 22 lightnings in 3 weeks including the 2 true blues they had. Now they only have 3 lightnings left and there all red. I have nothing against the color red but its just not for me, so my sales guy decides to do a locate to see if he can find a true blue lightning for me. Well we find one at magic ford and they decide to be ***'s about this whole thing because they don't want to give up the lightning. They know that my sales guy has no lightnings other than the red ones so magic ford demands that they trade for a black lightning........@SSHOLES!!!! So now I am still lightningless..... The world is against me......

 

just wait and get the '03 like you originally planned. If you get one you really don't want then you will be kicking yourself later.

 

don't like the 03's though....nasty rims, cheesy interior enhancements, and a raised back end. Not my cup of tea....

 

Razzari Ford has a white one........Their last one, I think......I like white. I bought a true blue, but I like white............Let me know, my wife works there.

 

By the way, I find it hard to believe any dealer in California sold 22 Lightnings in three weeks time.....In fact, I doubt any dealer here is alloted 22 Lightnings for the entire year. I may be wrong (my wife says I am most of the time) but those numbers sound like "carsalesmanese"............a mixture of english and cowpies..........

 

Galpin Ford in So Cal is the worlds LARGEST Ford dealer. Whatever they want, they get and yes, they get Lightnings in Volume. They get first shipment on 03's. They had over 20 '03 Cobras in stock when they began shipping.

 

I was just at galpin and they had about 30 new cobras waiting to be moved over to one of their storage lots where there are like 20 more. And they did have 25, I sat in all of them

 

Try Fai View Ford in San Bernadino. Ask for Nick Depasquale, he is the owner. Whatever color you get make sure you spend about an hour (this is no joke) inspecting the paint. Inspect it in the sun and in darker locations. I later found metal slag on my roof, Clearcoat runs on both sides of the tail gate, fish eyes on the hood, and black marks that were covered with clear coat in the A pillar I believe. I had to have almost half of the truck repainted.
