That's funny. I had an '88 GT T-Top car with no emblems (12.30 @114 speed density and no juice) Some punks pulled up next to me at a light with some Eclipse or something and asked me if it was an 8 cyllinder. It had Texas Turbo full lengths on it, no cats, and couldn't idle for *****. I just looked at him and said... "No" and drove away. Idiots.

Gene Deputy made some of the best headers for the Mustang crowd. Spent many hours and many dollars at Texas Turbo. I only lived about 20 minutes from his shop.

Wish their shop was still there and still had my black Mustang at times.

I think you should stop ranting and go clean the kitchen floor, or make some cookies.

BTW, I didn't have a chance to make it to Silverstate, nor did Stan. He was busted and I was busy. Maybe we'll meet next year!

It is alot more of a problem with foced air cars. I see alot of motors going south in the younger or less experieced crowd over there.Detonation is alot worse in a forced air car.

Cool

This thread is soooo TRUE.

It's nothing like a woman with a wrench who knows what she's talking about.

I agree with what she is saying... I just don't see how people with heavily modded - and blown - engines think that they will get warranty work done. If I had blown something up in warranty with just my 2lb. pulley, and chip I wouldn't have taken it back to the dealer. We need more honest people in this world that are willing to accept responsibility for THEIR ACTIONS.

That may be true, but how many other high performance vehicles that you know ALWAYS have the same problem. Almost every Lightning has weak rods...plug problems...ect, I am afraid to mod mine because the piece of ***** might break! They could have been made these trucks a little stronger and we would have paid the extra money for it and been happy. Ford would have alot less repairs on their hands.

Some of us don't have the luxury of going to the Parts counter and saying "Yes, I'd like a new Ford Lightning motor please...I'll be paying cash" If you can get away with Ford paying for it, why not? Spend an hour removing mods...save 5K??? Seems logical to me. I'll let all the "honest" posters flame me now.

I don't know guys the last thing I want is my woman in the garage with me working on my truck.

Don't get me wrong I love it when she tells a rice burner to know his roll and shut his mouth about his NAWZ cause its called nitrous, but I like them clean and away from my private space. The garage is the one place a man should be able to go and get away from it all. turn the tunes on and just play with your toys and pull them apart and put them back together just casue you can .

No disrespect the the ladies that do work on cars, just not my type of woman.

LOL...really i'm talking about anybody who is inexperienced in forced air cars. They just don't know when to get out of it, and theynever understand the importance of octane.
