Question Functional air intake for Cervini’s hood

Does anyone make a bolt on that works with the Cervini’s cobra hood.
I have heard rumor that Cervini had one but that does not appear to be true.
I saw one someone had posted long before I bought my hood but would really like to take advantage of that incoming air…being as it is there ya know.

In my opinion, the added weight of the Cervini hood with the forced induction unit as on JDM's truck cannot, no way, no how, be offset by the power gains offered by that set-up. Not to knock anyone's product but ....buy it just for looks.

You could probably go to Home Depot and buy some supplies to make a home-built one. Like Some tubes coming from the hood and "plug" them into the intake box (If you haven't removed it) I am sure you could figure something out - That would be cool if you actually made gains.

Don't wait for Cervini, they where suppose to have a kit for the ram-air hood on the Lightning in 99

If anyone has the Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords from Decemeber 2000 they did the build up of the functional Cervini's hood. I have 2 pages of it and the rest some where. I'll try and get them up here by the end of the night... Pretty nice lookin setup but not sure what it's made out of cause there are some large components added on and replaced

i believe they took two plenums and hacked them up to make a straight plenum and if done right the airbox shouldn't weigh much more than a stock airbox x2 and if would be alot lighter than the shaker hood setup in my opinion and a more direct feed so you should see a gain

Thats exactly how JDM's plenum looked.

Depends on the material. I would think that you would want the ram air box to be sturdy, so either either fiberglass or metal would be best to make it out of. If it's meta (which I believe JDM's was)l it will definately be heavier then 2 stock airbox's. Also fiberglass does get heavy as the layers are added.

I really don't think there would be that much of a weight difference b/n the shaker hood setup and the cervini ram air hood. I have popped open both hoods and IMO the Cervini hoods just seemed to weigh more overall then the shaker.
