For any lawyers that are reading..
the vettes I have witnessed have been at Etown and yes..modified.
But if there at the track and there betting against you..chances are they know they have a very good chance.
If you want to start racing Vettes. either build faster truck or buy an new Cobra.

THere is one 10 sec black newer style vette that shows at Etown and No one seems to want to race this guy anymore.

Question extra weight

Hey guys I have a ?, Your saying that by dropping the tire and hitch it will reduce weight making it easier to go faster, I get that, but isn't it good to have weight on the rear tires? I've only been to the track once and my main problem is that I couldn't get the rear tires to stick. I only took off the spare and debated on doing that or not. Wouldn't less weight cause them to spin easier? I'm just wondering for future reference.

If you run 13.6 then pray. You should get him on the launch but he will fly by you at the end. My cousin in his 97 Vette ran a best of 13.1@107mph and it was stock except for air intake. This was at a very well prepped track. At another track that is not well prepped he was running 13.5's at 107mph. So it can be done but do not underestimate them.

When I would run my cousins vette on the streets when I was stockI would put about 2 cars on him off the line but he would pass me at a good rate at about 70mph. After my Pulley, Chip and plugs I would put 4 cars on him off the line at it stays that way up until 106mph (1/4 mile). Even with my 6# pulley, chip and plugs he still traps 1 or 2 mph higher then me but my low end is way stronger then his.

My only mods are in my sig, JL intake and bassani. I had the F1's at 25psi and I removed the spare tire.

WTF? Ahh well a win is a win. You launch well!! Doy ou know if the vette ran after? He should be very low 13's even high 12's if he can drive and the track it prepped good.
PS, I love the L in white!!!! There are no L's in white around here. If the dealer had a white one I dont know if I would be driving a red one or a white one
