Angry !@#%in Speed grille!!

Has anyones clips come off on your Street scene speed grille? While washing my truck yesterday one popped off at the top left. I tried to put it back on but when I took the truck on the HWY and got off at a local gas station the d@mn thing popped off again...Now when I just pulled in my driveway today the other clip at the top right came off..I know it looks tacky on the why and it's irking the Hell outta me...I had a shop intall it about 2 months ago so I guess i'll take it back to them. Just dreading the crap that they'll probably give me about redoing it.Sorry just had to vent..
Has this ever happened to any of you guys grille?

Does anyone have a better idea than using the stupid clips?

Thanks

easy...sorta

Actually the lower, I just used the holes from the screws for the grill you removed.

The upper was a bit tougher. I actually hacked out the center of the grill then I drilled holes in the grill frame got the speed grill all zipped in the I popped the frame back into the front bumper hole.

Does that make sense?

Do a search for it, Chickenears did a good post with some pics in it a little while ago. I did it but I dremeled the honey comb portion out and just used the shell to mount the grill to. That way you dont see both grills and the air flows nicer I guess. I also painted the inside lips of the speed grill flat black so you cant see it when you look down at the front end. Look for the thread with the pics, Im sure I confused you already trying to explain it.

Thanks guys

went and bought the zipties and they work fine! Like you guys mentioned, It was a PITA to zip tie the grill at the top. I have all types of scratches on my hand and arm from the grille knawing on me . I left the clips on the bottom. Hopefully this will hold up

Thanks again

I had the heads-up and threw away the clips, they are a POS.
The upper grille is a piece of cake, when you remove the plastic piece that the grille mounts to.
And as Codie said, you just zip-tie the bottom to the screw holes.

**And I know, when someone says zip-tie you just want to shrug your shoulders, and use the hardware supplied But it does suck, as you know**
