I know the question has been asked in general and in any car. But I am curious what is the fastest MPH you have gone in any Lightning? I wonder if anybody has been able to do 170 - 180 MPH? I don't think it would be to stable at those speeds due to the poor aerodynamics

 

I'm betting that RUSLOW is the fastest.

 

140 to 150 not really sure because the speedo was pegged. On the way to vegas.

 

on the way to englishtown for FFW, from CT, i was playing catch up with my brother who left before me, the truck buries the speedo very quickly, really didnt feel like i was going that fast, but if factory speedo is accurate i was doing between 140-150, had rpms left still felt like it was pulling. im sure with all these high modded trucks people can hit well over 160, its probably not the best thing for the truck though. my truck actually felt pretty stable, i was on a really long straight way with fresh pavement, no traffic so that helped

 

you guys are insane! I got it up to about 130 on the way to North Carolina then I chickened out and slowed down, this was when I was completely stock.

 

Ya I think for one of his races he averaged a little over 140mph.

Pretty sure he has broke the 180 mark.

Simply two reasons so slow:

1) Just getting her broke in.

2) KC,MO roads....$uck! Pot hole every five feet...about.

 

It is remarkable how fast these trucks peg the speedo and are still pulling away.

Not sure of the speed. I was running with a Bimmer 745 last weekend and I looked down and it was past the 140 mark.

 

156mph on the way back from cordova. That was pretty wild!!!!
