Just picked up a Gatorback belt...

I had used one on my old ATI charged GT, so it made sense to get one for the L since I keep hearing a short squeal under the hood on shifts.

Down here the only local place that stocked them was Bennett Auto Supply, but at least it was a good deal at just over twenty-five bucks for the 4080675.

Will post if this helps me get any better 1/4 mile times... next step is an electric fan setup... maybe a stall and drag radials if I can slip them by the wife...

I really kinda doubt a Gatorback belt will help your 1/4 mi times. I just can't see how your other belt could have been slipping that bad...........now the stall, e fan setup, and drag radials......that's a different story

Good luck on the slight of hand (or Visa) with the wife

For a 4/2.5 combo, either a 4080680 for a snug fit, or a 4080685 would work.

The last 3 digits are the length in inches, as in 68.0" and 68.5" for the two belts above.

Is this the S/C belt #?

My Stock L (just a K&N) has belt squeal when I really get on it.
So the GatorBack belts eliminate that? I thought I read somewhere
that the S/C belt is not the squealer... Does someone have the part number for other belts?
Thanks

Yes, but isn't there two belts on our L's? I wanted to replace both stock belts with Gatorbacks... are they the same size?

Thanks

I don't have a gatorback drive belt# but i can tell you that with no blower belt on my L recently, that the drive belt was squeeling on deceleration from a 65 punch...so it might be a good idea to change that one as well....my drive belt only had 5k on it.

ib,

Thanks... your the poster I read the other day, about the squeal w/out the SC belt. I was just wondering if there was a known Gatorback part # for the drive belt. If anyone else has it...

I see your "Go #6" in your sig... I have waited 12 years for him to win the cup. three to go, I hope he can catch the Depot. I'll be there in Homestead, can't wait!

I believe the accessory belt is 4080990. Just picked one up from autozone and it seemed to stop my squeek on decceleration.

Thank you for your help. I 'm headed to autozone tomorrow for both!
