Is it worth to upgrade to a Gatorback belt?

I have a 4# lower pulley with the stock belt. Is it worth to upgrade to the Gatorback belt? What are the advantages and diadvantages? I have heard of some people having problems with this belt. Some say that instead of minimizing belt slip, it increases it. What are your thoughts?

I have a 4080675 with a 4 pound lower and I still get a little screech now and then. I'm sure it's better than the stock one and besides, the stocker had 16k on it so what did I have to lose. Might want to talk to Sal at PSP. He mentioned something about a certain type of Gates(?) belts.

Mine doesn't slip--it's worth it--peaxce of mind if nothing else.

Dr, my gatorback slips less than the gates, but don't be so sure that the screetch is coming from your blower belt.
Tonight i drove to the strip without the blower belt and was getting that same screetch you speek of from my drive belt on decleration.
