Aim Lowering control arms

Got a question, I am looking to use a-arms to lower the front of my 99. I am considering Aim and chassis tech.
I was told that aim lowers the front 2 1/2 inches and chassis tech is a 3 inch drop.
I do have 20 inch repos. with 295-40-20 tires will the 3 inch cause any problems.

Also does anybody have any opinions on either of these two arms as far as quality and do they actually drop the stated amount.

I was also thinking that maybe if I go with the chassis tech 3 inch, I could get a set of stock f150 springs which I think will make it a 2 inch drop and give me a softer ride, am I correct.
Any comments appreciated.

The Western Chasis arms are beefy as hell and would only drop your truck 2" if you kept the stock spring. So your ride wouldnt really change from the way it is now.

Check them out at www.sporttruckdirect.com

Thanks for your comments Jason.
Does anybody know if the stock f150 springs ride noticeably softer than the L. I don't need the extra handling and would rather have the softer ride.
I think the l coils are 1 inch shorter, correct?
