I wonder how Richard Holdener got 522 rwHP with the stock fuel system?

Tim that was my assumption at the time. I didnt really know what part of the fuel system was the weak point, nor if it was just the MAF. Bad assumption. Proved to not be true.

In addition injector flow can be increased by FMU's or other devices to increase fuel pressure to the fuel rail and injectors.
In a sense they "push" the injectors ,and make a 42lb injector flow bigger than a 42lb injector.

Injector dude,

I have Seimens Deka injectors that are high imp., 65lb @ 80% duty cycle, approx. 80lb @ 100% as most others are rated. You will have a hard time finding these anywhere else, very unique injector but a very accurate and incredible spray pattern. These are far more accurate than the 50lb delphi injectors that everybody uses from Holley, MSD, etc.

Thanks,
Dustin Whipple

Those do sound like a different injector. They sound like they are bigger.

Do you have a part# for them? I would be curious what the resistance is on them.

I sent my injectors to RC Engineering for a cleaning and flow test, on there calibration report it says that at 80% duty cycle and at a B.S.F.C. (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption or how many pounds of fuel per hp per hour) of .50, the injectors will flow enough fuel to support 549.3 HP and that was after the cleaning. Befor the cleaning the injectors would only support 541.9 HP

Oh and at a B.S.F.C. of .55 they would support 499.4 hp (after cleaning)

The B.S.F.C. will change depending on how rich or lean your engine is and generally how efficient it is and the chip tuners can play with duty cycle on the injectors. When I was wrenchin on Turbo Buicks it was common for the chip tuner to run the injector wide open at full throttle and then you tuned with fuel pressure. I had my car runnin 11's with little 27lb injectors and no supplements.

I guess what I'm sayin is that the numbers above are very very safe and if you wanted to push the injectors with fuel pressure and duty cycle adjustments, you could run'em well over 600 hp.

The only thing about running an injector longer is they start to produce lots of heat. They use a magnent and a current to open. Keep it open and the temps will climb heating up the fuel and working the injector harder. I do like the idea of pumping up the fuel pressure.

Injector dude, I don't have a siemens part number, but they are a 12 ohm injector (I do have to double check). They can flow a tremendous amount of fuel if needed.

Thanks,
Dustin

Calightnin,
you said we can check with autotap to see if the injector is at 100% or not. how is that done? Are you looking at the injector pulse width? If so what #mS is the max?

Wipple Charged,
are the 12ohm injectors interchangeable with our 14.4s?
