ok i just installed them and i put the vehicle down and it only lowered the back 1'. they claim it's suppose to lower it 2'.

when i bought it, it says 97-01 F150 2' drop shackle. than in italics it said ," also fits lightning for a 2' drop" so am i wrong or are they?

I think you will get a little settle once you take it for a ride, but it certainly won'y be an inch, possibly 1/4 inch

when i did the shackles on my truck (HD's have same suspension as L's) when i lowered teh jack, and remeasured, i only got 1" also. I drove it around the block a few times and remeasured in the same spot and gained another 1/2". After driving around for another week it looked a little lower and i decided to remeasure again (parked in the same spot) i gained another 1/4" So now i'm at 1 3/4" drop total. not a full 2", but its perfect for me. Now the rear fender gap is at 3 1/4"...just 1/4" bigger than the front fender gap, so its very very slighly raked, and thats just how i like it. If you just lowered it today...remeasure it in a few days and see what ya got total.

yeah, i took it driving for like 1 mile and remeasured and it is maybe 1/4' lower, so yeah i'll just give it time then, but now it's completely level......... gotta get those front springs in this weekend!

Mine dropped 2" after a few weeks. I agree about the 'level look', I didn't mind if for a while, but after awhile I had to have some sort of rake to it. Hence the front springs. Springs dropped it 1" at first, but after many months, it is a bit lower, possibly 1 1/4"

I love the raked look too, and if i had it my way, i'd drop the front 2" more with 3" springs, to get the same stance outnumbered has on his 02 HD. it looks so badazz BUT (always a but ) since the road slopes down and my driveway ramp slopes up, i make it in my drive with about 1-2" of clearance up front. I'd love to drop the front even 1", but i'd hate to scrape the valance going up my drive...it never all works out for me LoL!

yeah i took it out driving today, and the back looks great..... but now the front is starting to look like it has quite a wheel well gap........ before it was the back, i fixed the back and now it's the front..... so im putting those front spings in, after the springs what should i do about the alignment problem? take it immediatly to a belle tire type place? or will it be fine?
