How long is reasonable?

Well, since we experienced the "Lower Pulley Nightmare"

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...threadid=88526

some time ago, I was wondering just how long it takes
for a vendor to replace the defective part?

I am still waiting for the shipment after I returned the
pulley to them on Aug 30 ... And returned the remounted
replacement that they originally sent me 2 weeks later.

YES, Margaret, I did call, and was promised it was
"going out today" several times.

I am a patient man, but growing shorter tempered every day.

I would say wait as long as you can. If you can't wait anymore get a bigger pulley from REM, PSP, or JL.

We guys never learn?

If you are talkin about not being patient, i believe 2 months for something promised a few days after the 8-28 is being patient. It was nice of jim to replace the pulley however.

Johnathon why wouldn't you post the tracking number in here?? Or at least email it to cliff? Wasting your time on the phone and his, it would seem this would be the easier thing to do. Not trying to give ya a hard time, just wondering why you don't do it? You were very forthcoming with the tracking numbers on the electric fan special you had.

ps
Bear in mind this thread is not bashing, just simply stating facts and experiances.

After the E fan Tracking issue I asked them NOT To post info about individual orders on the forum. Thatis better done in email/phone or on thier forum

When I said you guys will never learn, I meant that when you order from JDM you might have these problems

Well, the thing that set me off I guess was that
some with the problem seemed to get theirs
replaced instantly ... while I had to send my parts
back to JDM and then Jim said he would replace
it. Meanwhile I am driving around without the
JDM 4# pulley for over two months.

"Spank,

I got your new 4LB interchangeable pulley
out and you should have it today.

Thanks,

Justin@JDM"

This all between 10/12 and 10/17 from Spank's
original postings here ... So since Justin has
my email address, I was kinda wondering why
they don't send a confirmation like AMAZON.COM
does when I buy a 12.00 book Or why Justin
couldn't just email me the tracking number. Or
private message me here. Or call me.
Unless it never did go out or is lost.

Cliff,

The pullies just came in and your's went out the same time Spanks did. Like I said before all you have to do is pick up the phone and call us and we will give you a tracking number. Posting tracking numbers online here is a violation of F150 rules.

Because JDM dosn't have a $40million dollar budget to create an automated CRM system to service orders. If you think there are any "real people" involved at the point where you get your automated email, you're mistaken. The only "real person" involved in your amazon order is the guy who scans it when it goes in the box. That whole system is fantastic, quite something when you see it from top to bottom. (I helped work on a similar system for Barnes'n'Nobles.com back in the day)
