I'd buy a srt-10 for 42k even. Main reason are It will be under warrenty stock at 500HP. Opposed to breaking ford warrenty in the 6-8k worth of mods to get a stable 500hp/500+torque. Only thing I think the truck needs on a stock standpoint is 20" rims with lower profile tires, and a 2front 3" rear drop. and bang bye L hello srt-10 :P

What it really needs is a supercharger or twin turbo set up. WoW.

Last update I saw on the SRT/10, they were sporting 22" wheels and tires, and a chrome grille.

Who knows. Guess we will see at the end of next year.

When I saw the SRT-10 I held off on buying the L... That thing looks -tough-. Have you seen pics of the interior? It makes our trucks interior look like 10 year old Metro. It's probably pretty fast too. heh.
... but then I figured out what 12 mpg would taste like in the L, and shuddered to think of what I'd get in that monster. Plus the six-speed... on what I would use for a daily driver... one of the reasons I got rid of the Z28 is because I hated the manual transmission... damn clutch.
If they sell that thing for $40k, though, I would have bought one. But PVO's guy said in a Car and Driver article that it would be around $50k. For a truck? Nooo...

Exclamation All sounds good so far...

Here is a quote :

Under the surface, PUTC's sources are also reporting that Chrysler PVO has gone to great lengths to reduce the truck's weight using high amounts of alloy materials and special framing construction. The end result should be a truck that weighs less than the Ford SVT F-150 Lightning.

Other performance enhancements include a modified differential to handle the torque factor load, progressive coils and racing shocks, a large rear sway bar and new driveshaft line.

my a**. 500hp/trq L in 05! So just wait a year! I know, I know--instant gratification isn't quick enough! My guess is gen 3 will be 38-40k?
