Talking TIP

Hope you jacked the front of the truck up before tightning shackles down?
this transfers the weight to the rear =you get a better drop.

How much do the springs lower the front end? Does this change the handling or the alignment of the wheels?

Where did you order the springs from?

Thanks,

It depends on which kit you install, there is a 1" drop spring and a 2" drop spring. I went with the 1/2 kit. That is 1"drop springs and 2" shackles. Handling is slightly better and Iam going to re-align the truck. I have been told by people who have done the kit, that they didn't re-align, but it's only $50 for peace of mind.
I bought my Ford Racing Ground Force kit from one of our supporting vendors. You know, the guys that help keep this site running, Sal at PowerSurge Performance

I was told of that tip Excited, but didn't do it because I'm trying something out. I have the Hellwig tractions control springs (cheap mans traction bars) and I left them tightened and adjusted to the leafs the way they WERE, so when I let it off the jack it hardly dropped at all -->AT FIRST. This should put a NICE preload on the springs and send all the power to the rear section of the leafs (BEHIND THE WHEEL) and down to the ground while launching at the track this weekend. It sounded good in Theroy, so I gave it a try. I've already gotton 1.8 60's from them with worn out F-1's. The truck did drop a little and I'm totally happy with the look, ride, and feel.
