Shortened Rear End Links

Did this a couple days ago. After taking a few corners that I enjoy
I can say this is very worthwhile. Stays flatter and with the spring clamps launches nicely out of those tight ones...
Now I need a set of 2" drop springs for the front.

Did you cut and weld the stock ones? If so, did you sleeve the endlink and then weld, or just weld?

I need to do mine, as a 2" rear drop has the swaybar ends down at an angle from the axle now.

Cut just above the factory weld on the pin. Welded back with a wire feed. No sleeve. Vinnie posted on this and I never really thought about it until then. Seems the natural thing to do. Even if they do break which I dioubt ..it should not be a major safety issue. Just my opinion of course.
