painted grille...opinions please

I've been wanting to do this for a while now and finally got bored enough to do it last weekend. There are still a couple of spots that need touching up and I think that I will paint the vertical supports back to black to try and hide them.

So what do yall think?

It was kind of a p.i.t.a.

I cleaned the crap out of the grilles first with soap and water followed by alcohol and then scuffed the black paint between all the bars a little, then more alcohol. Then I got a paper towel an lightly oiled it. rubbed the towel over just the face of the grill so that the paint wouldn't stick. Painted several coats with the Duplicolor red (Cardinal Red # DSFM 306). Then used an exacto knife to trim the paint along each side of each individual bar before removing the paint from the front edge (so it wouldn't tear and remove the paint that I wanted to stay). Re alcoholed and oiled, and repeated with the Duplicolor clear. Not sure how long it will hold up, but I figured wtf...it's different at least. I think this would also look kick *** on a white L.

I'm glad you guys have liked it so far, cause I was a little iffy on whether I'd keep it or not at first, but it's grown on me during the week.

It's a nice look. Small details like that seperate the special trucks from the rest.

I'm not sure exactly what brand the grill is, but I got it from this place about a year ago.

They were the cheapest I found, and the fit is pretty good.

Thanks Vinnie!

Means alot... I was looking through your gallery, man your truck is tight! I used the DJM 3/4 lowering kit, and it looks similar to yours stance wise. What did you use to drop it?
