EXCELLENT JOB!

Not sure but i think your grill is made by Stull.

Ive got the Trenz grills. One question for you, one time my truck was really dirty and i didnt have enough time for a hand wash, so i went by a car wash and sprayed it down. CAR WASH SUCKS!!!
I ended up getting a little too close to the grills and chipping part of the powdercoated black finiish off, no one else seems to notice it but me. Its a real eye sore everytime i walk past the front. What would you suggest i tough it up with? I havent tried anything yet. Any tips appreciated!

Why not just mask off the polished bar on the front with tape, then paint from the back. Would that still work?

Same exact thing on my Trenz. I think flat black touch up paint should do it. This is why I'm going to repaint mine, it looks horrible up close.

Nice, I was thinking about painting my grills black but did'nt want to loose the shiney billet look. Guess I know How to get both now!

Taping seems the way to go!

I almost forgot, how do plan on keeping that clean? Should be fun.

I didn't try taping the front of the grill for two reasons that came to mind. 1) I was afraid that the paint would build up along the edge of the tape or 2) the tape would pull off the paint when removed.

The whole reason I thought of this in the first place was like some of you guys have found...the black paint that came with the grill doesn't last too long. I think that the best way to do it would be powder coating, and in fact I saw in a magazine that a few places are starting to sell grills powder coated like this in red black and white, although I only saw Chevy grills listed...whats up with that?

Very interesting idea of powdercoating. I know a good local company that I've used before, maybe I'll give them a call. Can someone photoshop a red L with a red billet grille (all red). I recal seeing a pic one time, just can't find it.

The "blacked out" billet grilles look good on black trucks. Gives it that "big mouth" look, if that makes sense.
