Do a search, there are many negative things about not just JDM but most all the tuners. Although JDM seems to have the most complaints, and razors edge is yet to have one. as far as I know

Many consumers like to read both good and bad info about a buisness before giving them money. Although lately it seems if you have anything bad to say about these "Lightning Gods" you get flamed. Oh well, buyer beware. So what's the ponit of this board again?

I just posted a reply to him on that thread.

This is what I told him. He sounds Like one of them guys who just like to stir things up. Even though I worded my reply just about JDM, I know PSP, JLP, and I am sure any other reputable tuner does simillar testing.

Dyno tuning is not allways what is cracked up to be, it doesn't give real world info. The Dyno is a great tool, but it is only one part of the puzzle. They do real world data logging both on the street and at the track.

JDM does not have a dyno installed yet, but they use CrazyHorse's Dyno all the time. I have personally been on that dyno with Jim overseeing the dyno runs. JDM will have a dyno installed real soon, they are just waiting to get it installed. The pit has been dug and concreet pored, now they just need to have it installed.

JDM has been data logging both Lightnings and Cobras for years. They own a 1999 and 2001 Lightning and a 2003 Cobra. Because they own their own vehicals they can take the time to develop new products and then tune the pcm to take full advantage of those mods, and to make the air fuel ratios and the timing safe.

Once they get the info from the data logging Jim and the guys at superchips develop new programs for the set of mods on the vehical. Then they re data log the vehical to make sure the new programs are working properly.

Also what are they sopposed to do take a dyno from NJ to Texas, I don't think so. When he goes on the road he brings his lap top with all his programs loaded in it. So when some one putts on a bunch of new mods while Jim was in Texas, he can take a chip and with his laptop burn the correct program for those mod

Actually ... I do remember reading a complaint somewhere. So they have been officially bad mouthed on the net which makes them an official *tuner*

razor's edge

a company like razor's edge hasn't been around long enough in the lightning community to recieve the bombardment of complaints like the other's do. I think they have one up on all the other vendors because they have seen the mistakes the other companies have made and should already be avoiding them, or already know how to fix them. Customer service rises over product quality in most cases. I'm sure they are aware of that.

The advantage Razor Edge has is the mistakes other tuners have made. People learn from them and figure out what is important to the customer. If you drop the ball, someone is going to pick it up and run with it. Most importantly, not repeat the same mistakes others have.

I have heard zero complaints regarding REM. Very little negative press about Sal and PSP. Hell, Sal is VERY active in this community and that alone says something about the kind of person he is and the business he runs.Havent heard to much about Johnny Lightning. I have however, seen more nasty and negative posts regarding JDM then i care to count.

It can be as simple as false horsepower claims on parts they are selling.

It could be a 3 week waiting period for a chip reburn.

It could be ordering parts, charging your card and no one ever contacting you about it being out of stock or when it will arrive.

It could be outrageous pricing on the same parts others charge less for.

It could be unanswered Emails, Phone Calls, etc.

You shouldnt have to chase down ANY tuner to get answers to where your parts are at. This goes for anyone, not just JDM.

When you **** people off, believe me, negative press will be executed immediately.

Dont ignore your customers and dont lie or play games with them.

Seems pretty damn simple to me.
