Has anyone with an '03 on order been given a production date yet? I've read they're going to start production during the first week of November, so I thought dates would have been available by now.

 

Nope, maybe towards the end of the month. With the automated scheduling systems, the plants don't find out the build info until two weeks before the build.

 

Yup, Nov. 4th the first one comes of the line.

 

Hummm, two opposite answers.....

 

It's possible they know they'll start production on Nov 4th for the 03 L's, but the build info won't be in the system until a couple weeks ahead of time.

 

I ordered mine last Friday, and the truck manager at the lot told me that the production date was Nov. 4th also.

 

He cant know your is to be built on that date... If he does then he has better insight to Fords Delivery chain than insiders at Ford....

The 4th us likley the announced job 1 date or projected start of production

Iam sure you left a deposit at the dealer........What better way to make a customer fell good about leaving money, than to tell the customer what day the truck will be built Atleast thats what I think...or something

 

They will be STARTING production on Nov. 4th, no telling when each truck will be made. When ordering the L, SVT notes that the production date will not begin until the 4th, this wasnt a rumor. "*Material hold until November 4th"

 

Actually, I did not leave a deposit. I even offered to leave one, and he said there was no need. I wasn't saying that my truck is being built on Nov. 4th, but thats when he said production would start.
