hmmmm, sounded like a cool idea.....I don't mean to be a ***** about it but I mean come on......I gotta flame just a little bit here! It would look better if it was a full carbon fiber hood but like that it doesn't look to good, A+ for the originality and effort though

You are correct. Down by each foglight is done in Carbon Fiber, or you can get it without. The truck in the picture(the UTV for those that remember) has a carbon fiber ground effects kit and rollpan. The ground effects kit is also available in plain fiberglass for painting. They also make some dress up stuff for the engine bay in CF and some pretty cool looking bed rail caps for the screw's. By the way most of the stuff is for the screws.

That Carbon fiber hood is just to Ricey for me. I dont get why anyone would take any car and put a different color hood on it. It makes it looks like its a junkyard car with mismatch panels and you didnt get one of the panels painted to match. Maybe if the whole car was in carbon fiber that might look good. But to me with just the carbon fiber hood its like wearing 2 different color socks . But to each his own.

I dont have a digital camera to post pics, but i will try to borrow one. As for the weight, both hoods are about even. I would have loved to get a scoop or a cowl, but they just have the one design. I have been thinking about painting part of it white, but Im gonna wait until my wiper cowl comes in before i decide on that.

Insomniac, what do you mean? It is full carbon fiber, I dont know what gave you the impression it wasnt, but the hood is totally carbon fiber. The hood is very solid and tight, I have contemplated using hood pins, but once I adjust the stops, I dont think they will be necessary. And the price...well, I paid $790, and that was with delivery, so I guess I didnt do too bad.

Coming from the man who adds chrome to everything. :P

Hehe, I think if there is enough of it, it looks cool, on black. Dunno about Silver though.

If you look real closely that hood was painted black over the CF on the ends.
