i changed my feul filter today and i lost the black rubber plug inbetween the cap and the presure value. its down under the injecters some were. do you need that plug? if so the only way you can get it is order a new cap for 8 bucks.

 

never mind guys. called ford and got the answer.

 

If your talking about the cover on the shrader valve on the fuel rail, then just get a vave stem cover from a tire shop. They are the same size.

 

NO , I'M TALKING ABOUT THE RUBBER PLUG THATS IN THE CAP. FORD SAID IT IS THERE BECAUSE IF THE VALUE GO'S BAD , IT HELPS TO STOP THE GAS FROM SPRAYING OUT OF THE PLASTIC CAP.
