Gun metal grey '03

I saw one of the 03's in the dark grey today and thought it looked boring. It doesn't have the classey look the blue 02s have at all, just my opinion though. They have flatter looking 5 spoke rims, a dimpled leather steering wheel and coloured inside door handles. Just some of the things I noticed as I was walking by

where did you see it? I was told Job1 date wasn't untill November.

At the plant or on the street/at a dealer?

If they are already in production then we should all be able to see them by mid novemberish?

So did you see a blue one???

later,
chris

Thumbs up

Walk by that 'classy' blue at night and tell me it's not black.

I give the shadow grey a thumbs-up. However, the Sonic Blue with chrome rims would make me shoot warm man-gravy.

No they aren't in production yet, I saw 2 grey L's at the plant where they are built. They build a few before scheduled production to make sure the new parts fit I guess. I didn't see any blue 03's but they would be the same as the 02.

LMAO that is funny! That would be one nice looking truck. I think a true blue one with chrome rims would also look damn good. -Mat-

'02 was TRUE BLUE (very dark blue, but looks GREAT with chrome wheels, really bring the color out)

the blue for '03 is SONIC BLUE, much brighter with even a hint of purple or metallic color shift to it. I can't wait to see one. I have two '03 L's on order, one red and one blue, I'll decide which when they come in.

later,
chris

Superfords,

Be sure to post when your dealership gets an '03 L in so I can be sure to come over and take a look at it.

Thanks,
Eric

I'm thinking about keeping my 01 for the next few years until 05 and not trading/selling the 01 for an 03.

My new Autoweek said 05 L would have 500 hp from the factory. Some bolt on mods, chip, maybe 600 hp...

I may be reading between the lines in autoweek, they say a refreshed 04 and a Lightning in 05, so no 04 L ?

The gray one{s} is a prototype. We had it out here several months ago for a Ford Ride and Drive session.Looked pretty nice.
Sonic Blue on the other hand...
I like it on the SVT focus and Corba.Granted I haven't seen it on a "L" yet, but I DO have a '02 Ranger Edge on our showroon floor and it just doesn't look right.Too much "candy Blue/Purple" surface area.On a smaller CAR it looks kinda sporty but to me it's a "TOY" color.Just my opinion, and I maystand corrected when I see it in person!
