I just got my gauges in, I havent gone driving yet but im wondering what should my tranny temp gauge read? I let it idle for about 5-10 minutes and it was barely above 100, I'm trying to figure out if something isnt working or it just isnt hot yet. Thanks!

I just installed my gages a couple of weeks ago and my trans runs around 150 degrees. I'm not sure what normal or hot is but that's as hot as mine has gotten......JR

 

Yeah, that is how mine is also... takes a long time to warm up, which is good. It normally runs around 150-180deg.

Thanks guys. I just took a ride and damn it does take forever! It went to 120 and i ate dinner, 30 mins later i left and it was still at 120 and then it made its way up to 150 by the time i got home.

 

according to autotap 150 is about my normal temp with a max temp of around 180

 

Mine goes down to about 130 on the highway (converter lockup lowers temps) and goes up to 150 in city driving, up to about 165 during the day, I drive mostly at night.
