Question Tire size help needed

I have a customer buying some 22 inch rims and wants to run 305/45/VR22's on them. Will the tires fit a Gen 2 Lightning? Are there any clearance issues?

Assuming correct backspacing and width, no real side clearance issues.

It is going to be way larger in diameter though, at 32.8" compared to stock 28.5". The speedometer will be off by over 15%...

My buddy has an F-150 reg cab stepside dropped 2 inches with 22x9.5 rims with 305/45R22's and it looks terrific! He had to recalibrate the speedo but he doesn't scrape at all. Of ocurse, there are no lightning style ground effects or front valance....

Thanks Noel, that's good to know. He really wants to run 305/45's, he'll be glad to hear this.

Killer truck you have there, I peeked into your gallery.

Hey Tim, Here is a link to a nifty wheel and tire size calculator. Use the "B" side for the larger wheels as the drop down menu has larger wheel sizes available. It shows gear changes, speedo changes, tire height differances, odometer differences, tire width differences. It's pretty slick! http://www.c5-corvette.com/tirecalc.htm
