Oil breather cap sets off check engine light!
I had installed an engine oil breather cap a couple weeks ago. On Saturday my check engine light came on. So, I took it in to the dealer. They ran a test and found out that the crankcase pressure was off, and it was a result of the breather cap. No biggie, right? I'll just put the stock cap back on. But, they want $97 to reset that check engine light and for their diagnosis. What a bunch of crap.
Has anyone else had this happen?

They already reset the code, and I owe them the money.
yeah that happened to me too. a day or two after it was put on. i called JDM to see why that happened and he said bring it right over and i'll take care of it and that it's no biggie. he erased it and said to put it on after my next oil change and it'll be fine. didn't realize he saved me $100 just to erase it. hehe thanks Jim!
