I also have been giving the new Cobra a lot of thought. But i do a lot of gardening, and you can't haul to many bags of chicken ***** in a Cobra.

I agree with the fact that the new mustangs are damn cramping! I trade my 99 GT back in after 2 months of having it because I was just too damn cramped in it! Now I am a large guy but still, it was pretty small.

Dude, for me there is no thought involved what-so-ever!!! KEEP YOUR L!!! I also took back my deposit on an 03 Cobra after driving one. I had my truck sold, found a dealer to sell under X-Plan, and was all set.

After driving one, there is no way...I love these trucks!!!

How about one of each..........then you can let your current mood dictate which one to drive............Ok, Ok...so who needs groceries, a place to sleep, etc...just a garage to put 'em in

Your right fordert.....

After careful consideration and several test drives in the Cobra,
there is NO comparison . So I have decided to buy the Cobra and give it to my 16 year old daughter for her first car.
I believe it very importrant that a first car should not have too much power. And after driving the Cobra, I figure she should be real safe in it. The seats are more her size also, A real man would have trouble sitting too long in them.
Now, tell me fordert, how much power does that ***** box GT that you drive have? How big of a mower deck can you put under it?
Lets line em up...
ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, you BARNEY FIFE WANNA BE..........

Marc

I did drive my truck today Barney..

I just drove my work truck. Why get my RACE truck dirty when I can drive the SCrew to the plant. Betcha my SCrew can take your GT........
Take a look at the 200 ft. black lines that lead from the door on the Executive garage and ask yourself if your GT could do that.
To be quite frank , I have been asked to keep my Lightning off the plant property as it has put fear into everyone that sees it.

IMO, I like the Cobra for ripping around town and the truck for racing. If you want to go really fast for cheap...not including the price of the vehicle...go w/ the Cobra. If you want comfort, to haul stuff, and not have to bang gears to race...keep the L. I was in the same place you are a few weeks ago. I decided to keep the L.
Good choice!!!!!

oh yea, the L is staying....

I really don't know what came over me with the Cobra thing.
I thought I was getting bored with the Lightning or something.
I think it's one of lifes greatest pleasures that I can go out to the garage and climb in it full dress , get decent mileage to the track, change tires and run 12.60"s. How many vehicles can you do that in?
I guess the possiblities of the Cobra must have overwhelmed me or something.
But the Lightning is definately staying. I spent several hours with it at the paint shop Monday night discussing some hi-lites she will be getting on the ground effects this winter. I have the risers on the side of my Cowl induction hood misted with dark gray to black to make it look higher, and have definately decided to add some of the same around the fog lights and along the ground effects
this winter. Just can't figure out how to continue it to the tail gate to add continuity.
The hi-liting really looks good on the silver.
If I could just keep Barney, or fordert from drooling on it when I drive it to work now.

Marc
