Thanks guys... Im gonna hafta re-do one of the door pieces because I put too much clearcoat on it, and it dried with little bubbles... so its gonna be sanded down, and painted... along with the A/C piece where the Head Unit is...tommorrow.

That looks awesome! I give you a lot of credit. I wouldnt have the patience for all that sanding. The only thing I ever tried to repaint was my Cannondale road bike and it looks like a$$ so I'll be staying away from any painting for a long time. Again, looks great.

Did you remove those switches to paint that because I want
to paint mine but can't figure it out,and how do you wet sand
.And what kind of polish will work.

Yes, the switchs have clips on the back... if you pop off the whole unit out of the door panel, its self explanitory if you look at it. This was the first time ive ever wet sanded. I put a TSP of car wash soap into 1 cup of water. I let my 2000 grit sand paper soak in this mixture for 20 minutes. I then got to work on sanding the pieces. When wet sanding you want to keep the pieces wet at all times. I used a bucket of water and just kept dipping the piece in it. Good luck

If you just sanded it in the water wouldn't it do the same
as sanding it then putting water in it,and those clips did
you just take a flat screwdriver and pry the side and move
the switch need help

Well, you don't want the solution of soap/water on the sand paper to just wash off. As for the buttons, I just put a pressure on the buttons as if I were pushing them out of the piece, and then popped the clip's one by one.

I wetsanded to feel. It didn't take long at all. I didn't apply much pressure, just firm circlular motions. I prolly spent about 5 minutes per piece wet sanding. Remember, wet sanding is just to smooth the clearcoat. Your not removing much... as 2000 grit is almost as smooth as a sheet of paper.
