Something is loose??? Can you help?

I have a weird banging noise under the truck when going over bumps. I checked the exhaust and everything looks okay. I can feel the banging on the floor under my foot on the drivers side and in the back of the seat. I've checked everything with a rubber mallet and cannot find anything loose. Anyone experience this?

Does your side skirt kit seem to be loose? especially the small piece right behind the front tires? Mines was making a loud rattling noise especially on the highway or on windy days. Also I could feel a slight knock againts the rocker panel on the floor...I thought it was my exhaust also but it wasn't...Check that out! I've been kinda lazy and don't really know how to fix it other than two sided tape 3M tape..

Good luck!

i don't have

I don't have a Lightning but the seat in my truck keeps coming loose and I have blown two or three bushings.....could be my fat a$$ but in a Lightning it could be the stress on the seat.

Yes no?

If you've added an aftermarket muffler check the clamps on the tips. If they are turned just right the springs hit them when they flex.

Make sure that your heat sheilds on your cats aren't loose. Common problem on cars that causes underneath rattling.

I don't know what it is, but something bang's right under my feet (The drivers side floor board) when I hit a certain type bump too.
Been doing it since day one so I never bothered looking but it is annoying I got to admit. Sounds like someone’s under there knocking on the floorboard. Some day I'll check it out ???

I will check the skirt, I got an alignment the other day and thought it was gone. No such luck, it's still banging when going over bumps. I have checked the heat sheild and the exhaust is factory(until spring). The mechanic at the alignment shop told me everything looked good underneath and the suspension checked out too. He said it does not appear to be a problem however, he also felt the banging on the floor boards. Ahhh! It's driving me nuts!!! Thanks for the input guys!

I live near the Falls/Stow border. Yes, it is a great place to live and raise a family. I have family in North Canton also, they live near the Hoover factory. Also a nice place to live.
